HOLIDAY ARTS AT THE MUSEUM
Sixth Edition
Museum "House Muresenilor" Brasov offers for summer holidays the children a new museum education program.
At its sixth edition, the educational program "Holiday arts museum" is this year a program of five modules - which can themselves be grouped into five different groups of learning and playing on different fields of museum education.
In the summer of 2011 work began on June 27 with the group "Kinder", which can participate in preschool children - especially those in kindergarten.
This activity takes between June 27 and July 1, from 10-12 hours, being guided by a teacher. Participants will learn, dance, listen to stories, interactive activities, theater. Maximum number of participants in group will be 20 children.
A second group of participants in museum education program will be modeling in clay for a week - early July - the studio of an artist Brasov. Maximum number of participants will be 10.
A third group will start work on July 5 by the end of July, every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday of the week, between 10-12, will be museum education programs as follows: "Children restaurant", "Myths and Legends of Brasov "," dress in sec. XIX "," Protecting the movable and immovable property "reading public, interactive board games, drawing, modeling in clay.
The novelty of this course is the program called 'handy storehouse ", where participants will learn two guides to make ornaments to knit, to manufacture cards, finger puppets, earrings, bracelets, magnets. The target group for the two modules above are students aged 6 to 14 years.
The fourth group of museum education is addressed especially girls aged 8 and 16 and is called "School of stitches, embroidery and good food." This course can participate in demand and boys.
Children will learn to sew, crochet, embroider, will find recipes and culinary secrets for healthy food. Maximum number of participants is 20 students and will run every Friday from July 15 for four weeks.
The fifth and last group, will begin operations in August and will be a group dedicated to design. There will be four meetings under the guidance of artist Brasov. Students aged between 6 and 16 will draw, paint, made masks and puppets for theater, the maximum number of participants will be 20 students.
Specify that some of these activities will take place in the museum, most, but also in the public and artists' workshops.
The price for each module is $ 20, offering discounts for participation in several modules in parallel.
For the first time in late July the museum organizes a trip Down documentary Racos of students from 14 years upwards. For three days, sleeping in tents, participants will discover the secrets of experimental archeology, visit basalt columns, extinct volcano, the medieval fortress, will participate in intercultural activities. Maximum number of participants is 10, and the cost of the trip to study amounts to 100 lei. (Participants in the trip will be accompanied by a general practitioner and they will be training for protection).

GAME, COMMUNICATION, LEARNING

Educational and cultural program takes place over four weeks and is aimed at students grades II-IV. The first meeting takes place at the museum, where a series of interactive games, film documentaries, legends and myths about Brasov. At the second visit students will follow a course in clay modeling. A third meeting, entitled

"Discover Music" is the description and learning some unconventional musical instruments, and in the fourth meeting the students to make a short trip through the city of Brasov.

The proposed activities are intended to be an alternative for leisure, but also a unique way to learn new things in which children use their imagination.

CHILDREN RESTORED AND CONSERVATIVE

Using a Power-Point presentations in children are introduced to the world of writing and the written media, to printing and books. Will find the manual paper making process, the difference between it and industrial paper used today. Muresenilor archive documents will serve as examples. Children will learn that books wear out, how to keep, as handle and, especially, how to repair. The beauty is the practical test, which turns children into small restaurateurs. Thus, made photocopies of documents from the archives of the museum will be damaged and then restored by the children participating in this program.

At the end of the meeting, children will make a visit Muresenilor archive to see how documents are stored and preserved in our museum heritage.

The program targets students in grades III and IV.

During a meeting, students will learn about using Cyrillic writing Romanian in XVI-XIX and the first political newspaper of Romanians in Transylvania - "Gazeta de Transilvania" - printed at the beginning, in Cyrillic. In the workshop, students will receive a copy of the Cyrillic alphabet "newspaper grandfathers" and will transcribe the Latin Articles and contemporary language. At the end of the meeting, students will be surprised to find that they can read quite easily, old texts.

The program targets students in middle school, grades sixth, seventh and eighth.

HISTORY OF COSTUME

It took four hours to get dressed, and then it rained, I ordered the carriage and umbrella and arrived at 5 in the yard, close to my tailors ... So begins the diary of a London gentleman of the first half of the nineteenth century. What will we discover together during three meetings in which we will focus on the six chapters in the history of nineteenth-century clothing: suits women, men suits, hats, accessories, hairstyles, social life.

Smell that time we will be intrigued by the images and we will play with costumes and accessories that we manufacture together.

The program targets students in grades II-VIII.

ADVERTISING OF YESTERDAY AND TODAY

The program offers a peek into the history of advertising in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries Transylvania, advertising has played an increasing role in modern society is related to mass communication.

The second half of the nineteenth century is a period of unregulated, meaning that each could boast anything and everything, without prohibition. At the beginning of the next century begins to grow advertising and ad text emphasizes the practical aspects, the product benefits.

The second part of the course participants engage in achieving their advertisements for print, radio and television.

BUILDING Heritage
